What Symbols Copy and Paste Does
This page collects more than 900 text symbols — arrows, stars, check marks, hearts, math and currency signs, Greek letters, fractions, superscripts, circled and Roman numbers, music, weather, zodiac, card and chess symbols, keyboard keys and box-drawing lines — ready to copy with one click. Every symbol carries its official Unicode name, so you can search for “degree”, “rightwards arrow” or “check mark” and know exactly which character you are getting.
Click a symbol to copy it; it is also added to a compose box so you can build a string like ★★★★☆ or → Next and copy it all at once. For web work, the detail panel shows the Unicode code point, the numeric HTML reference, a named HTML entity where one exists, and the CSS escape for use in content properties.

How to Read Your Result
Why some symbols show as boxes
A symbol is only drawn if a font on the reader’s device contains it. Everyday symbols are in almost every font, but rarer ones — some arrows, box-drawing pieces or new currency signs — may show as an empty box or question mark on older systems. For important text such as a website header, stick to widely supported symbols or test on the devices your audience uses.
Symbols and accessibility
Screen readers announce many symbols by name (“black star”, “rightwards arrow”), which can be noisy when they are used as decoration. In web pages, hide purely decorative symbols from assistive technology, and do not rely on a symbol alone to carry meaning — pair a ✓ with the word “done”.
Limitations & Accuracy Notes
- Emoji are on a separate page; a few characters here (such as ❤ and ☀) may display as color emoji on some devices.
- Appearance varies by font and platform.
