✨ Fancy Text Generator
Turn text into 24 copy-and-paste Unicode styles — bold, italic, cursive, gothic, bubble, small caps and more — for bios, captions and usernames.
Tap a style to copy it. Every result is plain Unicode text, so it pastes into bios, captions, usernames and messages.

What Fancy Text Generator Does
This fancy text generator converts ordinary letters into 24 copy-and-paste styles — bold, italic, cursive script, gothic fraktur, double-struck, monospace, circled and squared “bubble” letters, small caps, superscript, strikethrough and more. Each result is plain Unicode text, which is why it keeps its look when pasted into a social bio, a username or a message where you cannot choose a font.
Most styles come from Unicode’s Mathematical Alphanumeric Symbols block (U+1D400–U+1D7FF), a set of letters encoded so mathematicians could distinguish, say, a bold variable from an italic one in plain text. A few letters in each style were already encoded decades earlier in the Letterlike Symbols block — ℎ (Planck constant), ℬ, ℭ, ℍ, ℝ and others — so the math block leaves gaps at those positions. This tool routes those letters to the correct older characters; generators that skip this step produce empty boxes for letters like italic h or fraktur C.
Because these characters are not really letters, they come with trade-offs, covered below. They are best used sparingly, for a name or a word of emphasis.
How to Use Fancy Text Generator
- Type or paste your text into the box
- Scroll the list of 24 styles — each one updates as you type
- Tap Copy next to the style you want
- Paste it into your bio, caption, message or document
Where Each Style Comes From
| Style | Unicode block | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Bold, italic, script, fraktur, double-struck, sans-serif, monospace | Mathematical Alphanumeric Symbols (U+1D400–U+1D7FF) | 𝐁𝐨𝐥𝐝 𝒮𝒸𝓇𝒾𝓅𝓉 𝔉𝔯𝔞𝔨𝔱𝔲𝔯 |
| Gap letters in those styles (ℎ, ℬ, ℭ, ℍ, ℕ, ℙ, ℚ, ℝ, ℤ …) | Letterlike Symbols (U+2100–U+214F) | ℍ ℝ ℤ |
| Circled letters and digits | Enclosed Alphanumerics (U+2460–U+24FF) | Ⓒⓘⓡⓒⓛⓔ ①②③ |
| Negative circled, squared, negative squared | Enclosed Alphanumeric Supplement (U+1F100–U+1F1FF) | 🅐 🄰 🅰 |
| Fullwidth | Halfwidth and Fullwidth Forms (U+FF00–U+FFEF) | Full |
| Small caps and superscript | Phonetic and modifier letters from several blocks | ꜱᴍᴀʟʟ ˢᵘᵖᵉʳ |
| Strikethrough, underline, slash | Combining marks U+0336, U+0332, U+0338 after each letter | S̶t̶r̶i̶k̶e̶ |
How to Read Your Result
Accessibility: what a screen reader hears
Screen readers may announce each character by its full technical name — “mathematical bold capital H, mathematical bold small e…” — or skip it as an unknown symbol. A bio written entirely in fancy text can be unreadable to blind and low-vision visitors. Keep names, links and important details in plain text.
Search, hashtags and handles
Platforms index these as distinct characters, so 𝐒𝐚𝐥𝐞 is not the same word as Sale. A fancy business name will not show up when people search for the plain name, and fancy hashtags do not join the normal tag.
Unicode’s own guidance
The Unicode Consortium notes that these characters are intended for mathematical and technical notation, not for styling ordinary text. Using them for flair is widespread and harmless in small doses — just not a substitute for real formatting where formatting is available.
Limitations & Accuracy Notes
- Not every letter exists in every style: superscript has no q and no capitals, and the negative-circled and squared styles have capitals only.
- Older phones and some desktop fonts lack glyphs for the newer characters and show empty boxes.
- Many platforms count these characters as two units, so a bio can hit its character limit sooner.
- Some sites reject special characters in usernames even when they allow them in bios and posts.
